New concept bra : Made in Japan

Triumph International's new concept bra, the Wearable Womanliness-Boosting Bra, gives you verbal pep talks and also help you snap selfies. For starters, slipping your smartphone into the heart-shaped sheath attached to the skirt will record such health-related data as the number of steps you’ve taken during the day, distance travelled, calories burned, and also the number of hours you’ve slept.
It is capable of responding to your voice with confidence-bolstering compliments. Mention you’ve got a big presentation at work that you’re nervous about, and the bra will speak, reminding you “If you give it your best, you’ll be OK! Go for it!” Ask “Do I look beautiful?” and it’ll answer “Very beautiful!” Go with the more general question “How do I seem today?” and the bra will tell you you’re “Totally radiant!”
A string of lights along the straps and top edge of the bra can be activated by saying “Illuminate my bust, décolletage magical light on ★!” We’re not sure exactly how you’re supposed to pronounce “★,” (and we’re really not 100-percent sure about décolletage, either) but saying the words will switch on the lights.
If all of this has you feeling so good you need to snap a photo of your confident smile, you’ll find a selfie stick waiting in the loops on either side of the Wearable Womanliness-Boosting Bra. The skirt can even be detached and converted into a photography board reflector to give you the perfect lighting.

Harajuku Style

Every Sunday young Japanese people visit Tokyo's vibrant entertainment centres and the large urban fashion districts. They are dressed in specially invented costumes in a variety of colourful, exciting and somewhat unpredictable styles. Most of these young people gather on the Jingu Bridge (Jingu-bashi), connecting the Harajuku railway station and the spacious Yoyogi Park. They are part of a fascinating sub-culture flourishing in the city, and are aficionados of music and rock bands and their outfits that inspire the street fashions.

The Dutch journalist and photographer Kjeld Duits, who has lived in Japan since 1982, launched the website "Japanese Streets" in 2002. This is one of the first websites to survey Japanese street fashion, and is the first one in English. Duits's photographs of the eclectic, avant-garde and often spontaneous fashion styles express the remarkable innovation and creativity of the young people of Japan.

5 Sneaky Makeup Tricks to Make You Look Younger

Time: there’s never enough of it when we need it, yet it somehow shows up as another candle on our birthday cake or wrinkle on our forehead much faster than it should. While there’s nothing as inspiring as a woman aging gracefully, we also think there’s something to be said for employing sneaky and simple tricks that turn back the hands of time. Here are a few beauty tips to help you feel (and look) like the young thing you are.

1. Cover with LiquidSince dark spots and under eye circles don’t exactly scream, “fountain of youth,” covering them with concealer can take years off your complexion. Unfortunately it can also age you if you reach for the wrong product. It may seem counterintuitive, but piling on too much of a thick product can actually draw attention to fine lines and wrinkles. Instead, opt for a sheer, hydrating liquid concealer and cover up with a light touch.
Product Recommendations: Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat, Lancôme Teint Miracle Instant Retouch Pen
2. Amp Up Your Brows

Because brows tend to thin out with age, filling them in is a quick way to shave off the years. Not sure how to thicken yours up? Check out this guide to fuller brows in 60 seconds

Product Recommendations:
Benefit Gimme Brow, Urban Decay Brow Box
3. Open Your EyesIf you feel your eyelids getting a little heavier than you’d like, open them up with two miracle-working products: an eyelash curler and white (or nude) eyeliner. Curling your lashes will instantly open up your eye, and a touch of white liner in the inner corner of your eye, and along the waterline, creates the illusion of a bright, wide awake eyes.
4. Get Rosy
Flushed, rosy cheeks are an eternal sign of vitality and youth, so add a touch of color to your face with a dab of cream blush on the apples of your cheek. The creamy consistency will sit beautifully on your skin without sinking into fine lines.

Product Recommendations:
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush; Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée

5. Put Down the PowderJust like caked-on concealer, powder has a tendency to settle into fine lines and creases, making you look older. Instead, swap your powder for a luminescent highlighter for a dewy, youthful complexion. If you need to set your makeup with powder choose a loose translucent option and avoid the eye area altogether.

Product Recommendations: Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in 7; Korres Wild Rose Mineral Setting Powder

6 Best Blushes the Pros Swear By

Sure lipstick is an instant pick-me-up and leaving the house mascara-less sounds like a bad dare, but nothing perks up a complexion quite like the right blush. Naturally, we won’t accept anything less than the best for our cheeks, so we went straight to the pros. We reached out to a handful of makeup artists and they came back evenly split–half thought creams were the cream of crop and the other half picked powders as their bests. Here are the six that topped the list.

The Creams

The Pick: Yves Saint Laurent Crème de Blush
The Pro: Dell Ashley
The Praise: “I prefer crème blushes because of the soft finish they provide the skin.” Ashley finds the soft rose color of #2 is flattering on almost everyone. He even uses it on the eyes above the crease for an added pop of color.

The Pick: Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric
The Pro: Melissa Walsh
The Praise: “The colors are intense so you only need a small amount, and when blended they look like a very pretty flush.”

The Pick: Kjaer Weis Cream Blush
The Pro: Katey Denno
The Praise: “They go on rich and creamy, are hydrating and long lasting, and they come in beautiful packages that can be refilled.”

The Powders

The Pick: Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color
The Pro: Colleen Runne
The Praise: “The finish and the colors leave a glow to the skin.” Petal is one of Runne’s favorite shades. She also notes that High Beam White and Soft Beam Gold are great luminizers that create a halo of light around the upper cheek.

The Pick: Lancôme Blush Subtil
The Pro: Ricardo Costales
The Praise: “Blush Subtil is easy to love because it glides on beautifully, stays on, does not change color throughout the day and it can be versatile with all skin types.” Costales, who also noted his love of the pigments, uses the blush as shadow, highlighter and contour

The Pick: NARS Blush
The Pro: Ashley Rebecca
The Praise: We would be remiss if we didn’t mention NARS Blush in Orgasm. Its golden peachy glow is considered a “Staple” by more than one of our pros. Ashley Rebecca calls it “The most beautiful highlighting blush that looks good on everyone.”

One-Minute Makeover: Brighten Your Complexion

If you’ve ever been stumped by a complexion that just seems lackluster, we’ve learned there’s one simple solution: brightening up. A glowing, even skin tone (the holy grail of skincare, let’s be honest) is the key to radiance, and with two quick steps it’s surprisingly easy to achieve. Here’s how to get glowing in 60 seconds flat.

30 Seconds: Smart Skincare

Brighten your face from the ground level up, by taking care of your skin with the right products. Exfoliate thoroughly to slough away the dead skin cells of summer, and don’t forget the daily moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. Also, try incorporating a serum into your routine that’s specifically aimed at correcting color imperfections and dark spots, reducing redness and evening skin tone. A few of our favorites that hit these marks are Lancôme DreamToneYves Saint Laurent Forever Light Creator Skintone Corrector Serum and Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum.

30 Seconds: Highlight

Once the glowing groundwork is laid, embellish your radiance by drawing light to your face with a highlighter. If you’re not sure where to highlight and where to contour, check out this handy guide. Some of our all-time favorite highlighters include Dermablend Quick Fix IlluminatorL’Oréal Magic Lumi Highlighter and Sephora Light Touch Highlighter. MDC Tip: Since it’s easier to prevent than undo, don’t forget to load up on your SPF (sun protection factor) every day this fall, to prevent dark spots and skin damage. Just because the beach time is over, does not mean you should ditch the sunscreen.  Now look at you, you bright young thing!

Flawless Face: How To Contour & Highlight Your Face

Flawless skin and a skillfully sculpted face is not only a red carpet requirement, but it’s also a makeup must in the fashion world. Technique is everything when contouring the face and knowing where to apply the appropriate makeup is key. That’s why we’ve asked makeup mastermind Afton Williams (LA-based makeup artist) to weigh in on the topic of creating a contoured face.

According to Williams, “The first step to creating a sculpted face, is knowing where to contour. It's the one thing you can add to your daily routine that will make a huge difference.” With Afton's expert help, we put together the easy-to-follow contouring diagram pictured above. (Pin it now and we can guarantee you’ll be checking it later.)

What products should I use?

Putting the correct products to use is just as important as the placement itself. In terms of finding the right makeup for your coloring and needs, Afton suggests the following…

Bronzer:
Bronzer should enhance your complexion so pick something that compliments the natural pigments in your skin. If you have warm undertones, opt for something with a peach base. If you have cooler undertones, pick an earth-colored bronzer.

Pro Tip:
Look for multi-use palettes such as Lancôme’s Blush Subtil Palette. It includes a highlighter, blush, and a contouring shade. Otherwise, try NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Pressed Powder, which Afton uses for many of her bronzing and contouring needs.

Highlighter
If you have a cool skin tone, go with a highlighter that is both light and iridescent. If you have a warmer skin tone—stick with a highlighter with a warmer undertone.

Pro Tip:
Use a highlighting brush to apply highlighter for the sheerest coverage. Try the Sephora Collection I.T. Highlighting Fan Brush.

Blush:
Pinch your cheeks and take note of the color they turn right after—whatever shade of rouge you see should be reminiscent of the blush you decide to use. Otherwise, go with an apricot shade or a rosy hue as these are universally flattering colors.

Pro Tip:
Use a dense blush brush because the denser the brush, the more product it will pick up. We love to use Dermablend Professional Face and Body Brush or Lancôme Cheek & Contour Brush #25. Contouring your face correctly enhances your natural bone structure, giving you a defined yet natural finish that’s ideal for any outing. If you follow this contouring guide you will be well on your way to a runway (or red carpet) ready look in no time!
